Angels D.
After LINING up at a FREAKING nike shop (Seriously wtf lining up at a Nike shop, right?) for half hour, I finally managed to get mah tickets. (With free training session admission *while stocks last(ed)* woo hoo!)
So as Kochi said, Bukit Jalil stadium can hold 85,000 people. As of 8.07pm, Nike™ confirmed that there were only 'lebih kurang 700 tikets lagi'. HOLY SHIT. That's like.....double the achievement of this:
When it reached my turn, 'Hanya tinggal RM58 dan RM28'. Ok, that's just bullshit.
But who cares, I just bought 5 RM58 tickets and not try to look anywhere else for the RM98 tickets. Later I called a friend or two to check out other places. Some branches has sold out completely, some only RM28 left -_-
And the official public sales of the tickets are supposed to be on the 1st of June. But the person at the counter told us 'Ini sahaja ticket. Kalo habis, maknanya habis. Takda lagi'. Okaaaay, so that means whoever is waiting for the public sales on 1st of June, all the best to you -_-
They probably allocated a few tickets to radio stations or contests so that people can win these tickets. This is definitely gonna piss a few people off. It was announced that public sales start on the 1st of June. So...if there won't be any tickets left to sell on the 1st of June, people are gonna be cursing.
Shouldn't have taken for granted that there aren't that many football fans out there. Ok, let me rephrase that. Shouldn't have taken for granted that there aren't that many MANUTD fans out there. Should have just went on a hunt straight after work instead of coming home first and taking a short nap. -_- Oh well.
I was soooo tired. The work in the in-tray is never ending. And that's just 1/4 of things that needs to be done! My boss says we need another 2-3 design engineers. Coz seriously we're in need of S.O.S. Current projects can be completed on time. But cleaning up past projects, plus sorting out stuff etc and doing new prototypes, heck, I think we need another 10 engineers in the office. Not just another 2-3. So, we're looking for Mechanical engineers, fresh grads only. FASTER GRADUATE LA YOU PEOPLE.
There was an Arsenal fan in line. As I've said, 99% of Arsenal fans are retards. Seriously, it's like an epidemic. He asked the sales lady 'Macam mana kalau saya pakai Arsenal jersey pergi tengok?'. WTF is he even doing in that line.
Seriously, could he ask a stupider question than that? Kena bantai laa of course. I'll be the first one with a baseball bat to his head. Like Eric Cartman said "There is no such thing as a stupid question, or a stupid answer. Just stupid people."
I finally watched 'Angels and Demons.' Ok, summer movies of 2009, you guys are not disappointing me. =D In the Malaysian cinemas, they never fail to humour you with their
stupidity at the titles and subtitles in Malay. 'Antara Malaikat dan Jin.', it says. So....hmmm.. why isn't it "In between angels and gins'? And I think they made a mistake. They labelled it 18-SX. Erm. Unsur-unsur sex yang tidak keterlaluan? WHERE.
Anyway, it could, just COULD be better than Star Trek. But since it's of a different genre, it's hard to tell really. At the end of the 2 hours (plus?), it really didn't feel like 2 hours. Go watch it. It's definitely worth your 9(?) bucks.
Dan Brown seriously has gotta be given credit for trying to piss the Christians and Catholics off with 'Da Vinci's Code' and 'Angels and Demons'.
But then again, people, people, it's just science fiction. =) Now when I'm being asked "Do you believe in God?", I know what to say already. Thank you Dr. Robert Langdon. That's one burden off my head when dealing with them fanatics. *phew* And I agree with Robert Langdon. Some things happen not because of God's will, but just pure luck and fate, and 90% instinct.
So that's how Dan Brown earns his gazillions of money. First he publishes a book which no one understands eg. Da Vinci's Code. And millions of people buy his book. Then a movie is made based on the novel. MORE MONAYYY. Then after the movie is such a success, MORE millions of people buy his book. Ok, now that's called awesome strategical thinking.
Thank god I only read the book halfway (ok, not halfway. 1/3) in 2007 because I was on a 25-hour journey train ride from Gold Coast to Melbourne. While watching the movie, it really sucked all the fun outta it. Coz I sorta know what happened. Who's gonna die, who's not etc. But once it has passed the part where I last read it, the movie suddenly seems exciting again.
So, the lesson to learn here is, don't read books. They're bad for you. =)
Now, I'm just looking forward to Transformers 2 and Terminator Salvation. They had better be good, then it's gonna be a flawless summer 2009. =D Except Paul Blart: Mall Cop. -_-
Ok, I'm soooo tired from work AND lining up buying for tickets (twice).
So, goodnite, world.
