Ok. So now update for the movie-goers. Eragon the movie. Here's what Wikipedia wrote.
Reception
The film was received extremely negatively by critics, garnering only a 14% approval rating at Rotten Tomatoes.Critics have said that although "technically accomplished", the film was "plodding and dull." The film's story has been described as "derivative" and "generic",one critic going so far to allege that only "nine-year-olds with no knowledge whatsoever of any of the six Star Wars movies" will find the film original. The acting was described as "lame","stilted",and "lifeless", while the dialogue was called "silly".
The film has been compared to Harry Potter: "the big difference between Harry and Eragon is that the former movies range from not bad to very good, but the latter stinks, as well as Star Wars: "plays out like a bad Star Wars rip-off" and The Lord of the Rings: "such a clone of The Lord of the Rings it probably could lose a plagiarism suit."
Positive reviews described the film as "fun" and "the stuff boys' fantasies are made of."The CGI work was called "imaginative" and Saphira was called a "magnificent creation."
Many fans of the book series reacted negatively to the film. The film's overall rating at IMDB is 5.0 out of 10, with females giving the film a higher average rating than males. Users at Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 'rotten' 36% approval rating. The majority of fans disliked the movie, but believed that there would be a sequel.
Christopher Paolini enjoyed the film, giving particular praise to Jeremy Irons and Ed Speleers for their portrayals of Brom and Eragon.
Michael Medved gave Eragon two and a half stars (out of four) calling it "..a feast for the eyes and thrilling storytelling for older kids." But, Medved added that "..the human drama in Eragon is sorely lacking."
Kesimpulanya, I'm just gonna borrow the DVD or download it from torrent or take it from whoever has downloaded it from the torrent. =) Or if some hot hoochy mama asks me out (which is VERY unlikely) then i'll go.
