It's like my 1st week of school! (Editted)
Whoops. It was mentioned that people have gone on a blogging boycott. It's not true! I've just, been..busy. Then again, there are many blogs I don't bother reading coz sometimes I feel that blogs that aren't about their lives but their 'views' on mostly crappy news you can find in forums/google are...very, boring. (*ahem* @ Mr. Yeah)
So anyway, oops. It has been a week since I wrote something. Been pretty busy, although it's my first week of work and all. So let's just recap, shall we?
I officially started waking up at 6.15am everyday since Monday. (I really don't remember when was the last time I woke up and it's still DARK. Geez.) Had to sleep everyday BY 11. How la like that when football season starts? Will get to that later -_- So, work is..actually fun. Colleagues are nice/friendly, good environment and all. The best feeling I guess is being felt welcomed (anywhere, for that matter), you know.
Got my employee ID, got my own workstation, got my office email, email me! (yonghsin.lim@c-a-m.com) =)
1 week of taking the LRT. 1 week of smelling armpits. Have to reach there by 7am, or else, pretty much very screwed. No parking. -_- At least the parking in the KJ station is now free. It used to be 2bucks, or something. I think.
So first day, I basically learnt nuts. Was reading up tonnes of stuff, but, of course, everything was like French to me. Bonjour? The best thing about office is, you know that Nescafe dispensing machine you see? The 50cents per cup thingie? The freaking machine is in my office pantry! My office panty is WIN. Biscuits, etc. Woo hoooo!
(Edit: I'm not allowed to change the 'awkward' line above due to request from Zhou coz apparently it's 'epic'. T_T I just hope people don't realise what i typed and think i'm a pervert =/)
So, yay! Free flow of coffee! Since I aint that much of a coffee drinker, I just go for the 'Teh Tarik' option (Best Teh Tarik, EVER) or the 'Milo' option. I've seen people going for 3-4 rounds of coffee daily. I don't blame them. It's FREE. If my sister was in my office, the 'black coffee' option will be empty soon. Serious.
Well, obviously as days go, I start to learn more, and I've been given more stuff to do. I guess for the next few months, I'm supposed to learn everything I am able to before being sent off to do..the proper stuff like the seniors in the office.
Lunch. Very ouch. Since I'm smack in the middle of KL, and in between KLCC and pavillion (the 2 most expensive places in KL), one bowl of porridge which is pretty much watered down is about..5bucks. Awesome, eh? Chicken rice, 8bucks. Hooray. But so far, since it's the first week of training, we get free food =D
I almost, ALMOST took M.C. on my first day of work. LOL. I came back from futsal on Sunday, and found rashes popping up here there all over my body. Went to the doctor, she said I must have gotten allergic reaction to something at the futsal court, could be the grass(?) and wanted to give me 2 days of M.C.
Yes, it was THAT bad. But luckily it was just neck downwards, so basically all i had to do, was..tutup aurat la. =) But everyday I am/will be in formal wear (incl. tie, leather shoes etc). Very..not used to it. I feel like the tie is choking me. But, i'll get used to it, I suppose.
Mr. Yeah and Daryl are coming up to KL on Friday, and we're goin for the FHM 100 Most Wanted Women in the World 2009 party @ The Loft KL! I still can't believe PYH is skipping this event to freaking stay at home and STUDY. Medic students. Tsk tsk. It's ok, we take alot alot of pics for you k k =)
I am really thankful my Myvi is small. Well, small enough anyway. We can squeeze our way through jams. But, after 5months here, I guess I have had enough of 'feeling adventourous' really. Once, I got stuck in Old PJ town for an hour, didn't know how to get out of SS1 OMG.
Then, the other day, I decided to go home through Mutiara Damansara, and I got lost in there for half hour. It's like, I'm 5min away from reaching home, but I got lost in my neighbouring taman and going round round right round when you go down. Geez
It was many 'first times' this week. With the new colleagues! First time goin to Petaling street (don't laugh), first time playing badminton, first time watching a movie in TGV KLCC (I didn't think 'Taking of Pelham 123' would be nice), first time going rock-climbing in 1U. Yeap, I went rock climbing! But, Kochi is right.
Coz, my arms hurt as hell now. T_T Didnt' feel it earlier on, but now really starting to feel the effect. Luckily tomorrow's futsal doesn't require upper body strength. Phew. T_T
And, hooray! Football season is back! And I've already set up my fantasy team! And joined a league. Now let's win that 3days 2 nights stay in London, shall we? =)
Now for my mini league between my friends, WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU GUYS. Faster set up your team alreadyyy. No more Ronaldo this time, so, no more free fantasy points T__T Oh wellll.
3 months of torture seriouslyyyy. I was so bored during the 3 months, I actually found time to do alot of thinking, and, as we all know, me thinking too much is never a good thing. Really. So, I actually went for the 'treble', as Mr.Yeah put it.
And, I got beat. Boys get their hearts broken, BUT men get their ego bruised.
But, this is the piece of the puzzle you boys have been missing.
Sometimes, the beauty is in the attempt. We took a shot, we gave it everything we could, and we did it well. It just didn't work out. People are people and sometimes, it just doesn't work out.
And when that happens, you got 2 options.
You can sit in a public park, with a couple of homos, pouting/sulking, drinking cheap beer,
So now, raise your glasses right now all you guys. This is the toast to the friendships we've made along the way.
But, above all, we shouldn't let this get us down. Pick yourself up, find the next one. I hope we do boys. I hope you know that.
So people, remember, when you speak of me, speak of me well. =)
