Brand New Year
2006 ended with a big bang. One of the best years in my life. Coz I've officially completed my Boa's collection. =) Ok ok also coz I've finally adapted to uni life and made new friends from scratch. Thanks everyone who accepted the night stalker and daytime zombie for who he is. Especially those who supported me in times of need. And also thanks to a special someone who's in a continent far far away who made 2006 memorable =)
Well after all the hype, it's here. Congratulations 2007, you're now one day old. Grandpa 2006 is gonna be joining the rest of the gang in our history books. Never made new year resolutions, never will. Life is simple, make a decision and never look back. Things should be taken one day at a time. Don't plan your future, nor look back at the past. Just go with the flow. Take things as they come. Do that, and u got the recipe for a WAAAAAAAAY less stressful life. I know too many people who takes life way to seriously. Too make things worse, they're like ticking time bombs. You never know what you say that may tick them off. My advice, enjoy the new year. 2006 is in the past. Those who made it through unscathed, congratulations =) To those who didn't, cheer up. The world isn't out to get to you. Shit happens. To quote Bruce Wayne Snr. "Why do we fall? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up".
Spent New Year Eve's playing Chor Tai Ti. Yes it's sad. Things got less gloomy when we saw the news reader on tv 2 at 12 giving the news about flash floods and how many..err..din make it thru to see 2007. There ppl in KLCC, tens of thousands celebrating countdown, there she was reading to us sad news. Sedih sial. So if u think you spend your eve in a sad way, think of the poor newscaster. =( (But me thinks she's not so sad when her pay is tripled or quadrupled to work on Jan 1st)
Watched Miss Teen USA that day. SUX. The best beauty pageant was still Miss World 2006. I personally think, the runner-up should win. Well 90% of the world thought so too. Kurara Chibana is known for her participation in Miss Universe 2006 where she represented Japan. She won the best national costume award for her samurai/ninja outfit and later became first runner-up for Miss Universe 2006. They believe Kurara Chibana was robbed of the crown because her interpreter missed a key point in her response during the final interview portion of the competition. The question was, if you had the opportunity to change the history of humanity, what would you change and why? According to a Japanese Internet blogger's translation, Kurara Chibana's response was that if exploitation and violence against women could be eliminated, 'the world would be better'. However, it was alleged that the official Miss Universe interpreter missed out the feminist element of her answer, which apparently cost her the crown. Otherwise, her fans believed she was a shoo-in for the title. She's definitely hotter than the Miss Puerto Rico, 18-year-old Zuleyka Rivera Mendoza.
This is Kirara Chibana. I tell u, the world's unfair. So are beauty pageants.
Her achievement was remarkable in the light of the fact that Japan has never came this close to winning the crown since 1959, when Akiko Kojima won the first, and so far only Miss Universe crown for the Land of the Rising Sun.
I'm officially fat. I can feel my whole body filled with butter after the "fried boat" for dinner with Drew, Kochi, Liang, Zhou and Qin Ru. It's actually steamboat, but no one (well, not me anyway) made use of the soup. I fried everything. In EXCESSIVE butter. There goes the sit-ups. Yet again. Kochi if i get fat, dun worry, i wun blame u. It's not your fault. Just know that u were part of history :P
5 weeks of work left to go. another RM500 more to collect. Then I'm off to Australia. I'll make an effort to find each and everyone of u b4 i go.
